Karen Flammini

Karen Flammini Karen Flammini, daughter of Jules and Mildred Koveleski, was born and raised in Dickson City, PA. She began painting with watercolors at a young age but soon fell in love with oils. Though mostly self-taught, Karen attended East Stroudsburg University where she took one drawing class. There, she met and fell in love with her husband of 35 years, Sabatino Flammini. After getting married, Karen quit school and painting to raise her children, Samuel (b. 1976) and Bree (b. 1979), in Kennett Square. Ten years later, Karen and Sam welcomed another child, Rebecca, in 1990.

Karen's love of colors is what brought her back to the canvas in 2005. She loves to paint flowers and is inspired by her own gardens.

Karen spent almost 26 years working as a waitress in family-owned Hugo's Inn, located on Route 1 in Kennett Square. Hugo's recently closed after nearly 50 years in business. Karen also had a stint as a personal trainer at the Kennett YMCA.

In her free time, Karen likes to cook and take long walks in Anson B. Nixon park with her dog, Lucy.
